Swimwear at the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio

Yesterday, the first Olympic Games sport events happened and one label appears at the swimming competitions again and again - even at the medal ceremonies where the Australian Swim Team received Olympic Gold for their Women's 4x100m Freestyle Relay performance. (The embedded Twitter image shows the winners in Speedo swimsuits. Article about the winners on Rio2016.com.) Australia gained a second medal in swimming yesterday; Speedo sponsored athlete Mack Horton won Olympic gold in Men's 400m Freestyle.

fig. below: Already in mid-May, Speedo presented the swimwear (Fastskin LZR Racer X and Fastskin LZR Racer 2 swimsuits) for the sponsored athletes from US, Australia, China, Spain, Japan, Canada and Israel. The swimsuits are individualized by the team members' country colors. The special technology like compression or a better feeling for the water was developed together with over 330 professional swimmers and 20 swimming experts from 26 countries.
