What do designers wear on the catwalk?
By surfing through the digital press material about the upcoming FW2010/11 collections posted by the photographers of Getty Images on image.net, the designers themselves and their outfits worn on the Mercedes Benz catwalk at the Bryant Park tents get the attention of Fashionoffice.
It is quite easy to find out who are the designers on the photos in the extensive digital folders. The most significant fact is that they are the ones who are interacting with the audience like you can see on the photos on this page - mostly by holding one or two greeting hands upside. Yes, this makes it quite easy to find out who are the designers.

Looking at the behaviour is easier than searching after models. Some of the designers really have 'model-qualities' such as you can see on the first image of good looking designer Yigal Azrouel in a relaxed blue t-shirt with dark narrow trousers and brown shoes on the runway on 12 February 2010. The nymag.com tags the Israel/French-Morocan rooted in New York based designer with the keywords 'American, Trendsetters'. The women's collection SS2010 at the designer's online shop shows a fusion style of tribal North-African and 80ies New Wave elements. The photo of the designers Andy & Debb (in classical black suits) could even be taken at the Croisette during the film festival in Cannes. They look like Asian Action movie heroes! On 5min.com, the Seoul (Korea) based designer couple Andy Kim and Debbie Yoon talk about the FW2010/11 collection, which follows the practical concept of comfortable urban wear with special focus on the materials' textures. The next couple is married like Andy & Debb: Lubov Azria is the creative director of the label Hervé Léger, which was acquired in 1998 by the French-Tunisia born in Los Angeles based designer Max Azria who sculptures the dresses like bandages around the body. Lubov Azria wears a turtleneck pullover with short skirt and dangerous high heel boots, Max Azria is dressed in a leather jacket with black trousers and comfortable shoes.
